The news about Chinese international students involved in a scandal in South Korea has spread widely on Chinese social media platforms. According to the Chosun Daily, on April 3rd, the South Korean Ministry of Justice’s Immigration Office carried out searches and seizures. These took place at the main campus of Honam University in Gwangju and its international exchange office. The investigation showed that 112 Chinese international students at this four-year university had submitted forged diplomas. They had enrolled as transfer students.
