A Florida roadway frequently used by President Donald Trump’s motorcade received an honorary new name on Friday.
Florida state lawmakers approved renaming a four-mile stretch of Southern Boulevard in Palm Beach County as “President Donald J. Trump Boulevard.”
The road connects Palm Beach International Airport to Mar-a-Lago, Trump’s private club and residence in Palm Beach. Trump and Florida state Rep. Meg Weinberger revealed a street sign during a ceremony at the estate.
Trump said he was “tremendously honored.”
“I’ll remember this amazing gesture for the rest of my life,” he said at the event.
The change is ceremonial, so addresses, emergency response systems and government maps will remain the same, county commissioners have said….
