The Small Business Administration (SBA) will relocate its Minneapolis district office space, Administrator Kelly Loeffler announced on Jan. 10.
“Following the events of this week, and the overwhelming local hostility toward Immigration and Customs Enforcement, I have ordered [SBA] to begin relocation of our agency’s Minneapolis district office,” Loeffler wrote in an X post.
Loeffler announced the move after an ICE officer fatally shot 37-year-old Renee Nicole Good in a Minneapolis neighborhood on Jan. 7.
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) said Good was driving an SUV at the ICE officer, prompting him to fire in self defense. Critics have challenged DHS’s characterization of the shooting, including Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey….
