A secondary school in China has awarded stellar pupils with tailor-made quilt covers, bedsheets and blankets.
The move has won praise from internet users for understanding juvenile psychology.
The decision to shun traditional red paper-made merit certificates was taken by Yucai Dachengbei School in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province, eastern China.

Instead, it awarded its pupils with various bedclothes which bear the names of individual pupils and their specific award titles, Chao News reported.

In mid-December, the school held an event to award pupils who performed well at a series of key tests in November.
The pupils, whose total scores over a range of subjects were ranked in the top five in their grade, received a quilt cover.

Those with a score from a single subject test in the top five positions received a bedsheet.
