Hong Kong’s 50,000-seat Kai Tak Stadium has been ranked the world’s No 3 in ticket sales in 2025, despite its debut nine months ago, with its operator saying the ranking cements the city’s status as “Asian events capital”.
According to data compiled by Pollstar, a US-based trade publication for the concert and live music industry, Kai Tak Stadium also ranked No 5 worldwide for total gross revenue and No 1 in Asia for both categories.
Its sister venue, the 10,000-seat Kai Tak Arena – which caters to versatile smaller-scale music performances and indoor tournaments – was ranked Asia’s No 8 in terms of total gross revenue.

A spokeswoman with the Kai Tak Sports Park, which houses both venues, said on Monday that it had hosted over 90 local and international event days since the March opening, welcoming more than 7 million visitors, including 1.6 million spectators at Kai Tak Stadium alone.
“Kai Tak Sports Park will continue to leverage its world-class facilities, professional management and strong promotional capabilities to attract major sports and entertainment events, further cementing Hong Kong’s position as the ‘Asian events capital’,” a spokesman said.

Pollstar’s 2025 year-end stadium charts showed Kai Tak Stadium ranked third in terms of most tickets sold globally, with 1.25 million passes worth US$191.34 million.
Placing second was SoFI Stadium in Inglewood in California, with 1.2 million tickets sold worth US$236.14 million. Top-ranked Estadio GNP Seguros in Mexico sold 3.19 million tickets worth US$297.84 million.
