Rubio Says US, Ukraine Had ‘Most Productive and Meaningful Meeting So Far’

U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said on Nov. 23 that U.S. and Ukrainian officials had a successful meeting to further efforts to end the war that began with Russia’s invasion nearly four years ago.
“It is my personal view that we’ve had probably the most productive and meaningful meeting so far in this entire process since we’ve been involved,” Rubio, who is leading the U.S. negotiations, told reporters in Geneva, Switzerland.
The Trump administration’s peace plan, which has received criticism from U.S. lawmakers on both sides of the aisle and officials from Europe for what some perceive as concessions to Russia, is a “very good work product,” Rubio said, and it was “built on a foundation of input from all the relevant parties involved here.”…
