This is the cloud warehouse for Xinjiang tomato sauce in Tianjin, which is exported to countries around the world through Tianjin Port.
Recently, due to a boycott from Italy, China’s tomato sauce exports have been blocked, causing a huge backlog. Italian companies have increased labeling requirements for the country of origin, and concerns over forced labor in Xinjiang have led Italy, a major consumer of tomatoes in Europe, to significantly reduce imports of Chinese tomatoes.
Tomato News, which tracks the global tomato processing industry and trade, estimates that China currently has about 600,000 to 700,000 tons of tomato sauce in stock, which is equivalent to about six months of export backlog.
