On November 11, at approximately 4:00 PM, the Hongqi Bridge in Sichuan Province collapsed with a loud crash. Videos show thick smoke suddenly rising from the bridge’s right bank, with the dust and debris filling the sky, while rocks flew through the air. The hundred-meter-long approach bridge connected to the mountainside immediately broke apart and fell into the river below, creating a shocking scene that resembled an apocalyptic scenario. The bridge, which had only been open for traffic for 7 months, came to a sudden halt.
