A double-decker bus mounted a central divider on a road in Kowloon during the morning rush hour on Thursday, causing temporary traffic disruption in a busy Hong Kong urban district.

The incident occurred on the uphill direction of New Clear Water Bay Road, near Lee On Road, around 8am.
Police said that KMB route 27, which operates from Mong Kok to Shun Tin in Kowloon, crashed into the central barrier.
Although some passengers were initially unable to exit the vehicle, police confirmed that no injuries were reported.
The incident required the immediate attendance of police and other emergency personnel to manage the site and assist passengers.

According to the Transport Department, part of the lanes in both bounds of New Clear Water Bay Road that were closed due to the traffic accident were reopened to all traffic at 9.31am. The closure had temporarily disrupted the traffic flow on the busy commuter route.
