This comment quickly ignited anger among the locals. One person responded directly, saying, “Who are you to speak for us? Singapore has four official languages, and we’re proud of our unique Singlish. Please, people from a ‘strong country,’ put away your arrogant attitude. Not all Chinese around the world want to be like you.”
