Trump Reverses Counterterrorism Funding Cuts for New York

President Donald Trump announced a decision to reverse cuts to homeland security and counterterrorism for New York City and New York State on Oct. 3.
“I am pleased to advise that I reversed the cuts made to Homeland Security and Counterterrorism for New York City and State,” the president said on Truth Social. “It was my Honor to do so.”
The president’s statement did not explain the reason behind the decision. The Epoch Times reached out to the Department of Homeland Security for comments.
New York Gov. Kathy Hochul welcomed this reversal, stating in a post on X that it means $187 million will be made available for the New York City Police Department and Fire Department, as well as for first responders across the state….
