The training strategy of Wang Shuang, who coaches the army’s equipment formation, has trended on mainland social media because it includes psychological consultations for soldiers and lively music to accompany exercises.
Wang has built up rich experience in preparing for the country’s military drills over the past decade, the People’s Daily reported.

In 2015, when China marked the 70th anniversary of the end of World War II in Beijing, Wang, whose age was not revealed, was among the junior soldiers who presented flowers to those who finished marching in the parade.
In the military drill marking the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China in 2019, Wang was among the female soldiers foot formation as well as a coach.
She was awarded the title of Excellent Coach after the event.

Wang’s application to join this year’s military parade was rejected because the authorities opted not to have women personnel from her unit this time round.
