The theme park in Wong Chuk Hang was buzzing with excitement on Friday morning as around 300 fans of “Jia Jia” and “De De” showed up to celebrate the cubs’ birthday.
A parade featuring inflatable pandas and slices of cake kicked off the party, while balloon twisters entertained the guests who were selected through a lucky draw.
The cubs were presented with a “birthday cake” made up of fruits, vegetables and ice, which they approached and gnawed at, playfully fighting each other to get to the treat.

Secretary of Culture, Sports and Tourism Rosanna Law Shuk-pui said that Hongkongers had witnessed the growth of the twins in the past year, much like parents watching their children grow up a little too fast.
