Recently, heavy rains have caused disasters in Southwest China. After Guizhou, Sichuan became the next area severely affected by rain, with its capital city, Chengdu, becoming a major disaster zone. In just half an hour, the entire city was flooded.
On the afternoon of July 3, 2025, around 4 p.m., Chengdu was hit by an intense downpour. The sky turned dark, lightning and thunder struck, and it felt like the end of the world. The subway stations flooded, and passengers had no choice but to wade through the water to get inside. The scene was chaotic, with occasional screams heard.
