A woman from Japan using the pseudonym Sasaki Satomi, recounted an experience at a ryokan style hotel in Matsushima, Miyagi Prefecture. While she and her friends were relaxing in an outdoor hot spring and enjoying the view of Matsushima Bay, two young women, who she suspected to be Chinese tourists, entered the hot spring. They immediately took their phone out and started taking photos of the outdoor scenery. Initially, it seemed they were photographing the landscape, but soon they switched to selfie mode and even began taking photos of other guests in the hot spring.
