CCP Mad! Tariff War’s Second Round: China Hits US With 74.9% Tax; Many Yiwu Factories Close or Flee

On May 18, China’s Ministry of Commerce announced it will impose anti-dumping tariffs as high as 74.9 percent on POM copolymer imports from the US starting May 19, 2025. European products face a 34.5 percent tariff. Japanese companies like Polyplastics and others face 35.5 percent. Asahi Kasei faces 24.5 percent. Imports from Taiwan face 32.6 percent, though Formosa Plastics and Polyplastics Taiwan get lower rates of 4 percent and 3.8 percent.
