Prosecutors on Thursday opened their case in the High Court against Quan Zhiming, 53, and security guard Li Kam-fai, 71, accusing them of preying on the girl when they separately had a relationship with her mother in 2019 and 2017 respectively.
Quan, from mainland China, denied four counts of unlawful sex with a girl under 13. He had earlier pleaded guilty to five counts of indecent assault against the same complainant.
Li entered a not guilty plea to eight counts of indecent assault.
The 49-year-old mother, only identified in court by her initials ND, also stood accused of perverting the course of justice by trying to impede a police investigation after the crimes came to light in April 2023.
