The 22-second silent video that went viral on Monday shows the 19-year-old woman dressed in a yellow uniform standing in a corner and the boy shouting and repeatedly spitting on her, including once right onto her hair.
Other employees were present but did not intervene. The video is believed to have been filmed last December in the staff break room of the McDonald’s branch at Fortress Metro Tower.
A source said the boy was arrested on Tuesday for common assault.
McDonald’s, meanwhile, said the case had been handed over to police, adding the employee involved had been suspended pending investigation.

It also said that it would continue to provide support and help to the affected worker and her family.
