Temperatures in Hong Kong will rise to as high as 30 degrees Celsius (86 Fahrenheit) on Monday after a few showers over the weekend, according to the city’s weather forecaster.

The Observatory said on Friday that the weather would be relatively humid over the coast of Guangdong province on Saturday, while the mercury would range between 24 and 28 degrees.
Hongkongers could also expect a few showers on Saturday.
“With the anticyclone aloft strengthening slightly early next week, showers will ease off over the region. The weather will improve and it will be hot during the day,” the forecaster said.
The Observatory expected sunny periods on Sunday with coastal mist and isolated showers in the morning. Conditions were set to be hot during the day with temperatures ranging between 24 and 29 degrees.

The mercury would further climb to as high as 30 degrees on Monday. The forecaster expected minimum temperatures of 25 degrees, with cloudy periods in the morning and at night.
