7 Hong Kong police officers among 12 arrested over money laundering

At least five Hong Kong police officers have been arrested in connection with a drug case, the Post has learned.

A source said the officers were from the northern New Territories regional headquarters in Tai Po. They were detained on Thursday.

The insider said the officers had been involved in an earlier investigation into a drug case.

A police spokesman is expected to provide more details.

In 2022, three anti-triad officers from Tsuen Wan were convicted of perverting the course of justice for collaborating with a triad gang and arranging fake raids on their illegal casinos.
