Recently, a video filmed by frontline rescue workers in Venezuela has spread widely on social media. In the footage, a man is seen breaking apart a collapsed building’s wall by hand. The outer layer appears to be a thin coating of concrete. Once removed, the interior is revealed to be filled with large blocks of expanded polystyrene foam, or EPS.
