Customs officers at Hong Kong airport have arrested three passengers who arrived from Frankfurt in Germany, seizing 30kg of suspected ketamine with a street value of about HK$14 million in two separate drug trafficking cases.

Customs revealed the cases on Sunday, a day after two women and a man were arrested at Hong Kong International Airport.
The first case involved a local man, 25, and a local woman, 24. During customs clearance on Saturday, officers discovered 15kg of suspected ketamine concealed in 15 plastic bags in the man’s luggage.
The suspect was subsequently arrested. After a follow-up investigation, the female passenger was suspected to be connected with the case and also arrested at the airport.
The pair were jointly charged with one count of trafficking in a dangerous drug and were expected to appear at West Kowloon Court on Monday.
