200,000 Students Scare CCP: Campuses Closed, Dorms Raided, Bike-Sharing Suspended

On November 9, authorities in Henan issued an urgent directive. Several universities were told to lock down their campuses, and students were prohibited from leaving. Education officials in other provinces followed with similar bans, preventing students from participating in cycling events. In Shanxi, the provincial education department ordered schools to investigate if students planned trips to Henan. In Taiyuan, students were even banned from leaving the city.
