The authorities received a call from a woman who reported being stabbed by another woman near The Sun Arcade on Canton Road at 2.40pm, police said.

Officers located and subdued the suspect outside the shopping centre, where they saw another woman who had also allegedly been physically attacked.

The first victim of the stabbing sustained minor injuries to her hand and mouth. Emergency personnel provided immediate medical treatment at the scene before transporting her to Kwong Wah Hospital in Yau Ma Tei.

The other victim, reportedly suffering from back pain after being struck, also received medical attention and was taken to hospital.
