Police on Sunday said that the force’s narcotics bureau launched an anti-drug operation in Ngau Tau Kok and Tai Po on Friday after conducting an in-depth investigation.
The force said that officers had raided units in an industrial building on Wang Kwong Road in Ngau Tau Kok that was believed to be a drug storage warehouse, seizing about 26kg (57.3lbs) of suspected ketamine.
The market value of the drugs seized was about HK$10 million, the force said.
During the raid, police arrested a 30-year-old local man for allegedly trafficking in dangerous drugs after he was found in one of the units.
