120 Million Lose Everything! China’s Family Bankruptcy Wave Is Now Underway

As of December 31, 2024, the report shows that 837 million adults in China, or 73% of the population, are carrying debt. This means that nearly three out of four adults in China are in debt. Notably, 625 million people, or 74.7% of debtors, are dealing with two or more types of debt, such as mortgages, car loans, or credit card debt. This indicates that the majority of debtors are juggling multiple financial obligations, adding significant pressure on their finances.
