Twelve people were injured after a collision involving a double-decker KMB bus, a rubbish truck and a taxi in Kwai Chung on Saturday.
Police said the drivers of all three vehicles and seven bus passengers who sustained injuries were sent to hospital. Two people, a passenger and a pedestrian, refused to be sent to the hospital.
According to the force, the incident occurred at 298 Kwai Shing Circuit and was reported to authorities by the bus driver at 2.57pm.

Police said that prior to the incident, the bus and the taxi were heading along Kwai Shing Circuit towards Kwai Luen Road, with the rubbish truck going in the opposite direction. The truck then reportedly lost control and hit the two other vehicles in the opposite lane.

Images of the scene shared online showed the double-decker bus severely damaged on its right side, with windows shattered and body panels ripped off.
In a reply to the Post, KMB said that its No 38 bus was travelling along Kwai Shing Circuit when a rubbish truck in the opposite lane lost control, slamming into the right side of the double-decker vehicle, causing serious damage.

The company said eight passengers and the bus driver sustained light injuries, and the company had sent staff to visit them in hospital.
